Full moon and been raining cats and dogs here for the last several days. Stepped in a poodle yesterday:-)! 3 inches in last week alone. Same thing happened during May Moon, Alberto showed up and gave us another earlier dose. Going in the morning if not too foggy. Cannot catch fish sitting on couch.

Rained 2.25" in 24 hours and the next 6 days will hit over 90 with a heat index of over 95. I still might tempt the heat with some early am fishing.

I知 looking for trout tomorrow. Wanted to fish Old Hickory for Gills...shell cracker.....not only is it like chocolate milk from the rain....around 4 inches.....but the lake is up and full of debris.....so off to the trout river I go. But its gonna be hot.

    Regards

Temp ( not heat index) was 103 in my shop today. 98 outside.

Don稚 think my boat will be moving anytime soon.

Too cold in early spring (with a blizzard) ; too hot and then cold in late spring; and early summer - who knows?!! Go figure...

Yes, the Heat Index here has been running around 105 to 115, just have to be on the water at daylight & load up about 9 AM. Most "stout" folks just can't take the heat & humidity. Seems like the higher the Body Mass Index (BMI), the sweat factor increases at an increasing rate. Acclimation or "being used to it" has a big influence. I have had young men from Europe (Holland, Slovakia & Scotland) attempt to work in the hay field & they totally wilt & take YEARS to become acclimated.
My in laws from Michigan only visited ONCE during the Summer, at least there's a bright side. LOL!
You Big Northern Boys better watch what you're doing or you'll end up in the ER.

So far it's only 82 with a nice breeze and intermittent clouds. Going out before it gets too hot. Fish will be deep.
