    Default Automatic day @ LP 06 24 18

Fished with Noel for a few hours this morning - before the lake lice started up. Only used 2 combos - Master Craft, Trapara 6'6" SUL & Quantum Kinetic PT10/2lb izorline and Area Stage, Nextino 6'6" L & Quantum Kinetic PT10/2lb izorline. I used 1/32nd roundhead with #6 EC hook tyed Automatic style- tipped with a cricket.

As always, wonderful fish!! Question, is the Trapara a pretty nice rod for the money? Does it have decent backbone or us it whippy?

I've looked at many different Major Craft spinning rods and I'm not sure which to buy.

Very nice fish! the one pic shows a fish do dark that it isn't much lighter than Noel's shirt. Y'all did much better than I did yesterday. Fished 0630 to 0915 and got a grand total of 1 CNBG that was 7" long. No hits, no trash fish, no bass. Heard a VERY BIG gator grumbling not too far off but no fish. Been raining hard a lot most every day and the river has come up around a foot in two weeks. Now they are all at the backwoods buffet eating the bugs and such that is now flooded. Never had such a lackluster trip such as this in this area. I'm going to fish a landlocked lake that won't be affected near as bad. I hope. Keep showing off what yo get out there Sonny, I need to see good fish from somewhere!

Looks like you fished shallow today, are they beginning to bed? Have heard So Cal is having some strange summer weather, you guys are dressed in warm clothes and we are sweating our tails off in the heat and humidity. Good catch though.

    thnx for the comments guys
Troy, the Trapara is a great rod for the money. This one is on the whippy side, SUL. They have UL and Lite action rods also. I think this is Master Craft's freshwater panfish series, lol.
At least you got out Tim.
Stan, the BGs are on the beds now out here. We are fishing between 22 and 17 FOW. Beds are 6 to 12 FOW - the ones you can see. We are getting a marine layer in the early morning, cool and foggy but it burns off to quick. Once the sun comes out the fishing slows way down.
