Default Bluegill on the XUL rod.

Had to pull out the old MacBook so I can embed the video. I'm really loving the XUL rod..so much so I have a Super UL rod on the way. While these bluegill are not my best these size fish are why I bought this rod....sure makes for a lot of fun with the 1# test NanoFil line. Hope you all enjoy. Well the embed didn't work out.

    Regards

Looks like fun. Who makes the rod you're using?

Nice video. I agree that shorter videos are best (10 minutes or less.)

Maybe you could do a video on your current inventory of UL rods. I know you've posted about them here, but a video describing them would be great.

Great video, those gills are awesome little fighters. They seem to put a good bend in the UL rods. Looks like fun to me!

Also like the video, and agree that under ten minutes holds my short attention span better. The rods get a real workout with those fish that are most common here. Bigger than those are a surprise fish and most welcome. Good job and thanks for taking the time to show all of us how well they work for you. I looked through the rods a couple of times and have no idea of what works best for which purpose. A tutorial on that might take some of the apprehension out of maybe pulling the trigger on one of those. I would hate to buy one designed for XUL and have expected something with more backbone, or some other misconception like that. I also noticed that you trolled this time. Does that rod cast well also of do better under the constant load found while trolling? Thanks for all the info that you share with us.

I thought about trying one. I looked them up. I got a massive case of sticker shock.

It could be worse. It could be a fly rod.
