Default Fishing for blue gills and catching bass.

Size: 44.0 KBSome days the bass move in were the gills are and that is all I can catch, in fact I only got one nice copper nose today but lost it at the boat trying to get it in the net. These bass are a hand full on UL tackle but a ton of fun if you can land them.

Did the same a few days ago: perch, crappie, sunfish and three bass - one that was 14". Thought it was going to break the rod as it dove under the boat!

I bet that was fun! That is what I like about fishing small jigs on UL equipment, you never know what will be on the end of your line.

I ketch a bass or 3 lots of times on my outings and this year seems worse than ever before on them for me .....
I don't care for the fight much myself as I cant power pull them like a panfish ....

I went fishing yesterday at a city pond. The bluegills weren't active, so I tied on a 1/16 white Beetle Spin and caught four bass stacked up in the windward end of the pond. It was fun, and the Beetle Spins were a day saver.
