Size: 94.1 KBIt has been more difficult to catch these copper nose lately with the water cooling and rising at the same time but I still manage one or two with the 1/32 pony head. They are filling our lake after over 10 years of being half full. We are grateful for the water but I have a feeling I am going to have to learn how to fish the lake all over again.

    You should make some brush piles before it fills up.

Size: 31.0 KBThis is the channel I have been fishing for quite awhile and as you can see it is all brush as far as you can see. Allot of the gills do come from the middle of the channel which is about 7ft. deep but most come from inside the brush or right on the edge near the deeper water. There are some very large bass in there as well and now and then you tie into one of them. The biggest I have been able to land was about a 3lb. fish. I have hooked much lager ones but with 2lb. test I rarely land them. Now and then around Christmas the lake allows the bass clubs to sink Christmas trees in the lake but you have to get permission from the lake to do it, have not seen anyone do this in years. California if full of rule makers and if you want to fish in peace you don't want to get on their bad side. The price we pay for this beautiful fishing experience.

    boat is still in the shop!!!!!! Hoping to get out by Monday....

    You should try Yo-Zuri Hybrid back there. Casts about the same as the XXX.

    What's the water temp?

    Going to be a lot of structure when the water reaches here;

    The water temp is about 56 and they have fallen off quite a bit. I still manage a few but it is not like it was earlier. The bass keep jumping my pony head and I rarely land them because they are so big. Funny thing is the bass guys that go in there manage a few small bass but not the size I have been hooking on the micro lures. Of course I loose a good majority of them because I'm using 2lb. test and a 7ft. 6in. Ultra light Phenix rod. That is a great picture of the east end. The water is rising ever so slightly each week. I marked a rock back there and each time I go it is deeper in the water. Wednesday I went to the tower and threw my home made 7in. top water lure and a big striper jumped all over it, I had it on for a few seconds and it came unbuttoned. I am going to be going over there first thing in the morning and trying to land one of them big girls before I go back to the east end and fish for pan fish. Hope to see you out there soon and if they don't get your boat done let me know and you can go with me.Name: 12039515_1014074095289962_6702417214185398304_n.jpg
