Fogged in this morning - fished shallow, ~12 FOW - water temp 66.5*F. Only fished 2.5 hours.
Double backed twice today - rarely do that. Once because I had a bass boat in front of me fishing the same water. Second time was because the fish were stacked in one spot. The dilemma is leaving biting fish to look for bigger fish.
another RE
these were the smallest fish - hit a pod of little girls...

I was showing a friend some pics of the fish you catch at dinner last night. He was amazed at the consistent size that are hard to find here. Always enjoy the posts and pics.

Skeet, thnx again - LP is probably #3 or 4 around here, IMO. Lake Havasu has the monsters. San Vicente is the sleeper - fishin' buddy has caught a 3lb CNBG during the spring bite. There are 2 pay to play "lakes", one in San Diego county and another in Orange county that are supposed to have big panfish & Bass. Both are CPR, expensive, and usually a waiting list. Lake Perris has an edge over Skinner and Diamond Valley.
LP is fast fishing for me. Keep my boat in the marina - just take the cover off and go. If it weren't for that, plus an ipilot, wouldn't be able to fish - much. My trips are average 3 hours. Back in the day - me and my buddy Big Jim would fish all day and all night!
