    Default Gills / Shellcrackers -- I don't Care

OK guys I need your help.
I always try to take my Dad to KY/Barkley lakes for a few days of gill/red ear fishing each spring. This is usually the only time of the year we get to fish together and we really enjoy it. Unfortunately, this spring my brother is having another round with cancer and we have been traveling back and forth to the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota most of the past 3-4 weeks. Needless to say I am afraid we missed the best bite at KY/Barkley. It looks like my brother may be there for awhile so I brought Dad back home yesterday. While we were driving back to Kentucky from the Minnesota yesterday I thought it would do him good if I could just take him a day or two fishing. Do you guys know of a lake that is relatively close to Central Kentucky that is having a good gill/cracker bite right now? I would really like to take him because think it would do him good to have something else on his mind even if it is only for a few hours.

    Thanks for your help,
    Richard
