Def a shellcracker. We call them chinquapins ,as DCottrell pointed out or just chinks for short. You may no we call crappie sacaulait also, Sac's for short. And the rest of your catch we would call bream or perch. No matter what though, that is a fine mess of fish.

My brother in law was here and I was cooking crappie and he was not to sure about eating something called crappie . Well he's all about new orleans the food down there he's even a saints fan so I told him that that they eat em and call em sacaulait so he ate em and loved em .lol
