I posted some info earlier in the week after an email exchange with the individual from that Australian site. He stated it would be $140 AU to ship the rod to the States via DHL. I did not see this mentioned on their website.

I wasn’t brave enough to attempt an order from that site. I’d be curious though what would happen if one did. I was one click away from completing purchase on PayPal and never saw that shipping charge.

Shipping was $25 bucks on eBay but then I had to pay sales tax as well.

Thanks. It’s possible that Otto isn’t using Exp Int right now, and hasn’t updated his site. Being you had the real world experience DHL must be their shipper. If the other was available he should have said so.

Hope you get it soon. Mine has been there since Monday....expected delivery Tuesday....expected delivery Wednesday....expected delivery Thursday.....you get the picture. It's Friday evening and nothing....LOL.

I had cases before where seller wouldn't disclose all the charges. But when prompted to the PayPal page with the "complete" button, the cost was always final and included those add-on. Asian Portal is like that, they always add about $4 in handling charges and you can only see it before you click the button on the PayPal webpage. I'd expect PayPal to never allow additional charges within the transaction, you pay what you see on their page, so to speak, but I never ordered from the seller in question.

My shipping was $17......total price paid was $295. Of course that changes day to day.

Well, I will ignore that eBay notification that just popped up on my screen that says delivery schedule for Saturday August 8.
