I believe that you have or used to have Blue Current 83 TZ Long Cast. Which reel did you think balanced it best? Maybe a better question is: what do you think the weight of the reel should be to balance that rod? As a rule of thumb, I usually go for a bit more than twice the weight of the rod, but this is a longer rod and that might change things.

I have used an 2004 Luvias...and a 2004 Certate and they both worked out fine. I have not tried any of my new LT reels on it yet.

Awhile back a forum member posted they would like to see how the JDM rods are made in Japan. I had recently watched a video but could not locate it but ran across it this AM. Now I can't find the post where the OP asked that question?? Anyways here is the video of the Olympic rod factory along with a video of one of the Major Craft factories.

According to PLAT's homepage:

"Now, postal service has stopped under the influence of Covid-19."

They are switching to DHL. It seems JPS has come to a complete halt at this point. To those who have their packages sitting in Japan: it may take a while.

From your knowledge of PayPal purchases, is there a time limit on how long one can wait for the shipment to arrive before they lose the PayPal protection?

No...this is all new and I’ve never had any issues with lost packages. I have a rod that I assume is in the air as status shows “In transit”. I will give it a couple of weeks and figure out what I want to do. eBay will know.....as well as I, if package is not delivered. I will ride it out as long as I can as I am pretty sure I’ll never find this rod anywhere at the price I paid.

My order sat in Japan all of last week and just yesterday it showed as in Chicago.

Thanks, Alphahawk. Looks like one has 180 days after the PayPal payment, irrespective of the issue. Seems to be plenty of time.
