It was conservatively 20 pounds....maybe close to 30. It took 10 minutes to get in and I had to use the trolling motor.

My wife was disappointed while watching the video.
She was waiting to see the belly flop splash when you threw that fish back in.

Well.....when I threw that fish back in.....and he most assuredly swam off.....I didn’t think of that. It was on video....but I cut it out. A wall of water covered me from head to toe.....LOL. Had to clean my glasses....I was soaked.

    Regards

Got my MajorCraft Finetail Area Stage 6'3 SUL today. This thing might be the coolest rod I own...won't be able to fish it for a while but it feels awesome. I could see myself buying another one just like it!

Big congrats! It is a great rod. I’m probably going to pick up the 6 4 “G” model for something very soft...yet from my research it is supposed to be very sensitive. I also am strongly looking at the the 5 5 model.

What is the appeal of fiberglass in the JDM world? Do they just like the softer action of fiberglass with really light lines?

Are the fiberglass rods mostly area trout? Or do they make mebaru and aijing fiberglass rods as well?
