Good luck on your journey down this JDM road. I eased into the waters, and did a lot of experimenting with jig heads and lines over the winter. Learning drag settings, knots, lines and leaders has been fun and frustrating at the same time. Trust me, more fun than anything else. The equipment is phenomenal.

I ordered my Yamaga Blanks Blue Current from Japan Angler on a Sunday. It was delivered to my door on the following Friday. I "baptized" it on Saturday.

    We live in amazing times!

I paired it up with my Luvias 2004 using Trilene's 2lb test and I certainly have some learning to do. I've fished with 6lb line for years and years...I think tying the knots will be the big hurdle.

I can't wait to tie into a big redear on this lake with this outfit. It seems like it will be a good jigging pole. This thing is unlike any ultralight pole I've ever picked up in America. I think the stiffness of it is very unique.
I thought the Triple Cross was stiff until i got the Corto, man this thing is steely. There is a learning curve with the stiffer rods, you do not need to cross their eyes when setting the hook, and patience with the fight of the fish....enjoy the ride the rod gives you!

I just ordered the same setup last night (thanks Alpha!). Because of the current Japanese holiday, it will be here around the May full moon. I can’t wait! I hope it gets here in time!

The shipping took about 8 days total from Japan to Eddyville, Ky on my rod. It only took about 5 days for the Luvias reel to get here!

Do they all come signature required? My postman is lazy and on the first day he says no one was available, even though I watch him put the notice in the mailbox and drive off. The 2nd day he picks up the signed receipt, and drives off. On the 3rd day he crams the box into the mailbox if he can, even though we specified it be delivered to the porch. He then Mark's it as delivered on the front porch. So I have to add 3 days delivery time for overseas signed receipts.
What length triple cross did you get?

My post office actually called me at 7:30am and asked me to come in and sign for it. He said items international must be signed for. My rod is 7'3.

All EMS items are required signature. I’ve lived in 3 towns since I started acquiring JDM gear. I noticed the post office took EMS deliveries very serious. I track all my orders with text. Several times my items have been delivered by a subcontractor that the only thing he had in the vehicle was my package. They have told me those packages have to be delivered at certain time once they arrive at destination.....no matter if the regular carrier has left the facility or not they have to get it out.

Did you get the Solid Tip 7.3 or the Tubular? I really like the Solid tip, bet the Tubular tip is even more stiff. If those big red ear bed around brush or bushes, a stiff rod could keep them out of the snags.
