Try Stren Crappie Mono (not regular Stren.) The 2# diameter is .15mm, so it's probably closer to 3# line. It's good stuff. My local Walmart carries it.

Trilene XL also comes in 2#. I use it a lot. Diameter is .13mm.

The new Wm only had a single spool of SOS 2 lb, which I bought. All the others stop at 4 lb test. Would like to find some Trilene XL 2, but I think I am OK for now until I do.

Hopefully, my last new JDM rod has arrived. I am sure that is what all the others who own them have said also!! Today I received the GraphiteLeader 2018 Corto 6.10 model. Hesitant to order a shorter rod that I am used to, I bit the bullet and decided to give it a try. Upon unboxing it does seem stiff but extremely lightweight. Finish is seemingly flawless, and this will be my first go around with the single footed guide frames. I plan to use this rod for Bluegill, putting the 103 Luvias on the bigger end and some small buggy things on the other. It is the line I have a question about. Max 4lb it is rated, and I have some options here, an Ester, a braid, and some nylon, all JDM supposed test rating of 3lb or less. I also have the SOS 2lb Trout Magnet Line. Here it is, hopefully I can get it out this week or weekend and give it a whirl.

I am excited about the corto taking the place of my 7 ft st croix trout series as my big trout rod... I am already impressed with the 6’1” corto for stream fishing and can’t wait to feel its big brother... interested in the feel of the triplecross as well...
Please let us know how the 6.1 and the 6.10 compare.

Quick note..I received my MC Triple Cross rod today! I took it out for a quick workout and it's obviously a high quality fishing pole. It is stiff, stiffer than I expected but it bends into a nice arc when fighting a hand size bluegill.

I paired it up with my Luvias 2004 using Trilene's 2lb test and I certainly have some learning to do. I've fished with 6lb line for years and years...I think tying the knots will be the big hurdle.

I can't wait to tie into a big redear on this lake with this outfit. It seems like it will be a good jigging pole. This thing is unlike any ultralight pole I've ever picked up in America. I think the stiffness of it is very unique.

Congratulations on the arrival of your new rod. I am getting my feet wet with the JDM equipment with Alphahawk's help and guidance.

The rod was shipped on the 18th and I received it on the 24th of April. It took about a week for the order to go through and get confirmation of shipping though. All total 13 days from when I ordered it to when I got it in hand.
Thanks Crappie Pro Wannabe thanked you for this post
