Never mind, went back reading and found it. I am deciding between the Olympic 18 Corto and the MC Triple Cross... prob go with the Corto. Is the T model Corto tubular tip? I noticed the action is rated as Fast instead of extra-fast.
Oh yes, I watch (and "like") your vids. You were wearing out those bream with the bison TM, so I went and bought some, and also got some of those Daiwa JDM jig heads from Plat. I think I am going to get the MCTC. Do I get that from Plat or where?

I've been using a Major Craft Benkei BIS 672L although it's listed as a bass rod, IMHO it's the perfect crappie and whitebass rod. I was able to cast a 1.5g Gekkabijin jighead(those jigheads are awesome) on 3lb varivas super trout sight edition line.
If you cast it they will come.LedHed, John Scott LIKED above post
I have the Triple Cross, and in two trips landed all these species with ease. No issues with the rod, still experimenting with the the lines and leaders.
If you look back on some of my reports I have used this rod quite a bit this winter while bank fishing and for the money it has been a great investment. Even broke the tip off while putting it away, replaced that and still chugging along. A good reel with a good drag and the proper line and these rods do shine.

Yes the T is tubular. You will not go wrong with either rod. I give all who go down this road the same advice....if you buy the Corto...meaning a higher end rod than the Triple Cross....you will not be able to step down to a lower end rod. I have my Corto rigged for some white bass action tomorrow. I landed that 19 inch Smallie with it last week and it performed flawlessly. But let me say again...the Triple Cross is an great rod at a great price. Thanks for the kind words and supporting the channel. Plat does not carry the Triple Cross....and Digitaka is out of stock. The Corto however is back in stock on Global Rakuten....if I wanted one I would get it now...those may be out of stock again soon. It seems like it is an extremely popular rod.
Regards
That line really stands out, do you use a clear leader?

I bought a Major Craft Triple Cross last night from the Digitaka site!! I just hope it gets here before May 1st so I can test it on some big shellcrackers here on Barkley!!
I've looked a longtime, finally pulled the trigger last night. Knowing me, I'll buy another JDM rod in short order. What would be a good compliment to the Triple Cross??
