I have a couple of these floats, and they work well on the light braid I use. I have not tried them on the Ester lines. Cast well and good bite detection. In a couple places I fish for Gills they will bed under or near a lone Buck Bush, and keeping the bait out of the brush is key, and when they do hook up you have to get the big ones headed in the other direction quick. The float attaches via silicone sleeves on the top and bottom and does not clip on like some floats, similar to the Thill Mini Shy bite.

Here is the link from the Japanese owner website.

    手造り浮子どんぐり | 株式会社オーナーばり|海釣り仕掛け、投げ釣り仕掛け、釣り針、淡水仕掛けなど、釣具全般商品 を製造・販売

They come in 3 different sizes: 40,45 and 50 mm. As someone already mentioned the rigging system consist of a rubber sleeve that the line is threaded through. Then just stick the tip of the float inside the rubber sleeve to lock in place. These are very small and are listed under mountain streams category of the website. I use them with a 2.5 lb line with a tiny jig, a split shot or just an unweighted worm in shallow running water. Hope this help !

They were actually hard to find but I just did a google search of the product number and was lucky enough to stumble upon a few stores who had in stock ... still only have just a few of them.

Another option is to order a premade Keiryu rig and just keep the float...

Looking at the Majorcraft Triple Cross 7’3” tubular vs solid tip... my dad has the solid tip but was curious how different the tubular tip would be? Do you think the overall bend of the rod would be more parabolic with the tubular tip??? Wanting to use this rod for floats and dads is pretty soft at the tip... just wondering how different the tubular model would be??

Solid tips will always be softer. As to the bend difficult to say.

So Digitaka emailed me about sending me the top section of my rod that was broken when I received it ..... 2 weeks later I received a brand new rod. Thats pretty good customer service considering where they are shipping from. Now I have two rods JDM rods relating to Panfish. Not sure if the broken tip is worth fixing. Any recommendations for repairing telescopic rods top section besides ordering the specific part? Thx

I sure hope Plat operates the same way. If not, I will just use Digitala moving forward. It sounds like they have figured out the customer service.
