I don’t know, Stan. That reel handle looks perfect where it is! LOL. Congrats VCM on a beautiful rod. Please give your impressions when you can.

Thanks for the feedback. That’s good to know. This may be the next JDM rod I get.

Did you use their address eBay store or website?

I used their eBay store. Was really surprised to hear how much business they do in the states. The price was certainly right on this rod. I started looking at this rod the day it came out. Not a lot of info was out there. From what I gathered this rod series is very popular in Australia. Yodie by far has more info on this rod than you can find anywhere on the web...I am talking real world use.

I bought a couple of Shimano Stradics Ci4+ off them a couple years ago during their Christmas sale. The prices were marked way below $200 and they sold out quickly ($144 usd shipped) . I wanted to buy a couple more at that great price but felt lucky enough I was able to buy 2. Shipping was fairly fast and pain free from Australia.

Does anyone have both the Rockin Finesse and Abu Garcia Eradicator? Or have tried both?

Yodie has both....or his dad has the Finesse......which Yodie has fished. He addressed this a few posts back. Stating they are completely different rods. After much reading...watching the few videos showing the bending curve of the Eradicator, and finally after Yodies assessment I decided to get one. Owning the Finesse I sure did not want two rods the same.

    Regards

    Thanks.

I was all prepared to order the Eradicator, but the 6’9” Rockin’ Finesse came back in stock at Digitaka this morning. I wanted to double check with the group before committing

Joined Team Eradicator and ordered one from eBay.

I had an email exchange between the folks from the Australian site that I linked last week in this thread and got some disappointing info.

In that email exchange, the person told me it would be $140 AU to ship the rod to the states. To verify, I went to the page and added the rod to cart and got to the PayPal screen, and never saw anything about $140 AU shipping charge. If I had attempted to place order, I’m not sure if PayPal would have allowed it or if I would have received a followup invoice from them.

Be careful if you use that site. I wouldn’t want anyone to get a surprise charge after ordering. My sincere apologies and I didn’t mean to mislead anyone.

So to avoid any hassle, I decided to order off of eBay. Paid slightly more as eBay charges sales tax here in TX.

    Cheers
