Same kind of question but looking for a rod of 7ft length that's going to be used for casting from shore. Using floats or jigs only 1/80 to 1/32. 200.00 or less

Ok I see you’re on Lake Perris....so we talking those big Gills like LedHed catches? Finding exactly 7 feet might be little difficult......could be 71...72...73....but I’ll look.

I'm actually relocating to Utah this year and looking to fish for some new varieties such as White Bass and Perch which aren't available in SoCal. Also fishing for trout and smallmouth etc. Using tube jigs Turner Jones micro jigs and trying trout magnets

This one would fit what you’re looking for.......within the price range....a little longer than 7 foot but I think would fit the bill.

I bought a Shimano Soare 7 foot rod last summer that's rated for 1-3 lb test and liked it so much that I bought a second one just in case something happened to the first one. About $120 with shipping. This rod is a lot of fun and won't break the bank, I recommend it highly. I got mine from north one tackle.

If you were picking between the blue current or the corto for trout what would you get? I know both are probably to stiff for crappie...

Too early to make that call. I need to fish the Corto a lot more than what I have. I’ve caught a whole lot of fish with the Blue Current TZ. Going to try and get out Wednesday and Friday to test out the Corto and 2018 Lunakia on some white bass.

How do you ensure your JDM rod is made in Japan? Some don't specify and many of those that do, aren't made in Japan.

If its made in Japan it will say so. Not all JDM rods are made in Japan.....I talk about that in some of my videos. Even many high end rods are not made in Japan. But they are made using Japanese components and have to pass Japanese QC standards. I have a 230 dollar rod made in Japan and a 450 dollar rod that I suspect was made in China but am not sure....is the Japanese rod better.....no. Usually rods of equal sale price at at a Japanese web store......be they made in Japan or other country....will be very similar in as far as what you get for your money. If you think just because a JDM rod is not made in Japan is not as good think again. No Major Craft Rods are made in Japan.....most of them...if not all...are made in Vietnam. Now......there is a school of thought in many who buy JDM rods.....it must be made in Japan. Since buying my first Graphiteleader rod.....made in Japan......I have taken a magnifying glass and looked over all my high end rods for lacquer overruns and so on. I just can’t find any flaws....heck I can’t find any flaws in my lower end JDM rods made either. I have to admit though my latest 2 acquisitions made in Japan......Graphiteleader 2018 Corto....and 2018 TenRyu Lunakia......are really things of understated beauty. I am currently looking at several rods.....I will eventually buy both....one is made by Graphiteleader in Japan.....one is made by Abu Garcia in China. They are priced within 50 bucks of each other.....but I think I will find both of them to be of very high build quality.

    Regards
