Yes, I break them down before I leave the lake and put them back in their case. I also bought some protective rod tube for them for transport. When I get home I clean them too (like Randy shows). I figure I might as well take good care of it because they weren’t cheap.

Mine are broken down in the basement and taken to the lake in the carpeted rod box of the boat. Not in the rod tubes, but in the bottom. I put these Velcro things on the two pieces to keep from accidentally grabbing the wrong tip for the assembly, especially if I do not have them strung up. You can see the Croix in the tubes in there also, an all around back up rod. Same way for bank fishing, except in back seat of truck. Name: Adjustments.jpg

I did a video and talked about this. If you do it you will save yourself some heart break. These things get broke in transport...not while fishing. I have been stupid on 2 of them. My nephew was stupid on one...but not anymore.

    Regards

I put mine in a hard rifle case with foam inserts, broken down in 2 pcs. When traveling to and from lake, stored in my trunk.

Got a cheap one at Walmart for 10 bucks if I remember.

You don’t know. Sometimes they run Christmas sales. Sometimes a sale will just pop up. When it does go on sale you better jump quick.....it will be gone.

I try to check Plat, Digitaka every day, if I have time. The time difference is substantial, so I will look at night sometimes late, and caught a good sale about a month ago on a Tuesday, 30% off a couple Majorcraft rods, at about 10pm? No rhyme or reason to that. I think VA Crappie dude picked up a rod that night also.

So true. Ordered one rod during the recent 20% off sale at Digitaka and was contemplating the very Tict SRAM. Did it for too long – the sale was over before I pulled the trigger. Although in this case there may have been some miscommunication from Digitaka regarding the duration of the sale...

My Little Luna is in a case coming and going and in storage in a closet. On a recommendation from AH I purchased a BW Sports case that allows storage with the reel left on. Well worth the money I think - these rods aren’t cheap! My TSS rides broken down only, but I’m careful with it.
