Can't remember the name of these so i took a picture to post. I use these with tiny jigs and microspoons. You can slide it up and down your line if you dont put the pin in too tight.

First I cut off the plastic, designed to cut-fail bead on top. Then I put a #8 glass bead on a doll needle to hold it while I position it properly. I put the doll needle w/bead through the float stem, put a 1/2' long piece of shrink tube over the float stem and the glass bead on top. Then I hit it with a heat gun.
The result is a so-so bobber transformed into a durable functionable one. With the addition of a large shot 6" above the jig it becomes a well balanced float that works well and casts a country mile. :D :D
Sound like a lot of trouble? Not for me! I guess I just like things that work well without paying too much for them. :D :D
    How about a photo.

I usually use weighted torpedo shaped bobbers in 1-1/2" and 2-1/2". I can cast these a mile.I also use The Rocket bobber,Thill Pencil bobbers, and slip floats in pear or torpedo shapes.I also like the bobbers that Chaunc mentioned.I sometimes use a plastic torpedo shaped bobber with line ties at both ends.I like using them with a small fly or sponge spider for gills.

I uae the fluorescent orange or yellow styrofoam weighted round bobbers for generic fishin, but for crappie, I like the thill slip bobbers.
