You wouldn't regret it. I got mine as a birthday present 4 years ago, and it's been my primary rod ever since.

Falcon is a good company to deal with if you have problems too. The tip broke on my original one after about a month, and they replaced the rod free of charge. I had a new one in just over a week. I haven't had any kind of problems with any of their products since.

What kind of 4 wt do you have and how well does it cast 4 wt line. I am looking to get a 3/4 wt fly rod just for my bream fishing but havent decided on a model as of yet

There are lots of great 4wts on the market. How much do you want to spend?

I have an Orvis 4wt that casts great, but there are plenty of others: Sage, Loomis, Scott, Winston, TFO, St. Croix, etc. It's hard to go wrong with any of those. Just cast a bunch that fit your budget.

since i have never really used a 4 wt i was looking to spend $75 - $125 for a rod any suggestions

In that price range, I'd get a Lefty Kreh Signature Series from Temple Forks (TFO.) They have both an 8' and 8'6" 4wt in that series. They sell for about $110 and come with a lifetime warranty -- highly recommended.

Thanks for the link .... some pretty nice rods there thinking of maybe a 2/3 wt instead of the 4 wt... that would have to be fun catching fish on

A word of caution on the lighter rods (2/3 and below) ... they do fine with smaller, unweighted flies but they don't cast bigger poppers and weighted flies that well. (They certainly don't cast them far.) They don't handle wind too well, either. You should be fine with shorter casts and little or no wind, though.
