    Default Ft Gibson 8/8

Went to check out the stripers below the dam with no luck. Got into some wb but I didn't stay long. You could probably load the livewell with wb if you wanted to. I wanted to check out the main lake. Found some brush in 20fow and it lit up. I threw a slip bobber n minnow into the brush and within 10 secs bobber down. It's one of my favorite ways to fish. Something about seeing the bobber go under just makes my day. Ended up with 21 keepers, threw back 6 crappies and a couple blues n channels. My buddy also lost 5 nice ones at the boat. Overall it was a nice day with a good breeze. Name: IMG_3803.jpg

The one on the tape was 15". Got three that were 15. The rest we kept were 12-14". Mixed bag - whites and blacks.

Where were you on the lake south of 51 bridge? I'm planning on dumping a brush piles on the south end of the lake. I'm on 14 mile creek and I know there is a ton of crappie on the south side but it is lacking in structure for them to congregate on.

No I wasn't by the bridge. I was on the south side of the lake. It was only my 2nd time fishing the lake so I'm not to familiar with it. Do they allow you to put brush in ft gibson?

Yes they allow you to put in brush piles on the lake, just talked to the Corps about it today. Most people fish for crappie up the river on the North end of the lake. But has you have shown there are plenty of good crappie on the South End as well. Since I live on the south end of the lake I'm going to be installing as many Crappie Hotels as I can for my little tasty friends.
