    Default Eufaula 7/24

Took my son and a buddy to Eufaula yesterday. WT 80s. Fished the lake 5 times in the past and only have caught small crappies, like 6-10". Only once during the spawn this year I did ok with 10-12 inchers. It's kinda discouraging to see so many small fish. But today by shear luck I happened to find a few new brush piles and they were loaded with 12-14". We kept our limits for the table. It was a great day. Definitely changed my thoughts on this lake. Bonus hour was running into a school of whitebass boiling on our way in. Funny how fast a grown man can change out baits and boat a couple dozen fish with only say in 3 words "they're over there!"
