Thread: Eufaula info

Just started going there. First thing I noticed is that Eufaula is a big place. I fish from the bank and with a guide. No special spot to recommend. Hit the usual spots. Lee of points, bridge piling, brush piles along the shore, along the docks-plenty of those around.

Right now the bite is great on standing timber. Focus on the 8-12' range. If you have long poles to use set your jig the length of the rod and drop close to any timber you find. Don't waste any more than 30 seconds to 1 minute at any particular tree. More of a run and gun style of fishing. Just keep hitting the same trees about every 1 hr or so. The fish that are aggressive will hit it. Those that aren't won't even look at it. Hour later those fish will become more aggressive and will hit. They don't all feed at the same time. I went yesterday and only fished in about a 100 yrd circle. Trees i didn't get hit on the first time around I caught fish off of the second or third time by. can boat an easy 40-50 fish in 2 hrs. Tons of small as well to throw back.

Anyone hitting the north end? Haven’t been on that part of the lake in years and was thinking about hitting it.

Went out on the McAlester end of the lake yesterday. Hit brush piles, rock points and docks. In 6 hours brought back 58 fish.

It think we might have caught more fish if I had only wore one flip flop.
