As a side note, if you happen to be fishing that area, my daughter dropped a St Croix Legend X/Shimano Stella fishing rod combo into the water last night. If anyone happens to fish it out please send me a PM. Thanks

Sucks on the rod/reel over the boat.....I did it to one of my dads poles when I was probably 10 or so.....it’s almost like a right of passage with kids and fishing.....dads just have to accept it!! Oh no....my kids are 11 and 13 but we haven’t lost any yet......I have a bad feeling all of a sudden

I’m late on the report due to work but we had success in caney creek this last weekend for sandbass...only 2 crappie but we didn’t target them.....baits of choice roadrunners, redeye shad, small Alabama rig but I think we all know you can dang near use anything this time of year. Well over 100 sandbass caught over a couple of afternoons....highest water temp we saw was 60 in the afternoon.Name: IMG_7546.jpg

    Very nice 10killer.

That's the 2nd rod my daughter dropped into the water. Ironic that the combo is the exact same thing as before. I guess that rod isn't meant to be mines lol. And yes I also enjoy eating whitebass as well. I'll be back out soon...

Went this afternoon and WT was 58, I guess the rain last week dropped it 5 degrees or so.
    Fish were still biting.
LOTS of people fishing for sandbass on the upper end.
