Default Big Cabin Creek Boat Ramp

At one time there was a boat ramp on Big Cabin Creek above Lake Hudson. It was on private property just South of the bridge and you put $2.00 in an old mailbox then drove down to the ramp. I was thinking of making a trip up there but I heard somewhere that the land owner no longer allowed anyone to use the ramp. It was a very narrow short ramp but was the only ramp I know of other than the ramps at Bass Haven or Bird Island. Both of these ramps are too long a boat ride in my little jon boat. Anyone know of another ramp with access to that part of the river? Is there a boat ramp in Rock Creek? I've never fished Rock Creek but I drive across it often and it always looks good.

Thanks cavey45. I see it on Google Maps but when the picture was taken the lake was real high and over the road. I can't tell much about it. I am up that way quite often so I'll stop by and check it out.

That ramp is still there, it’s pretty shallow so be careful.

Be careful using the ramp straight north of Pensacola. I broke a trailer axle on that dude. It goes out and just drops off into the abyss so if you don't have good sized tires on your trailer....best to avoid.

Is that under the N 4420 Road bridge Just North of Pensacola? Is there still a ramp about a quarter mile South of HWY 28 bridge on the West side? I put in there several years ago. It was private and you put money in a old mailbox to use the ramp. There was also a primitive camp site there that you could also pay to use. I read some where that it was closed.
