    Default Bait for big crappie only


    Went balloon fishing for cats. Caught this deep-bodied, wide-shouldered crappie on a shad head on a 5/0 hook about 8 seconds after letting the balloon loose. We got out the crappie rods and small bobbers, but only hooked one more crappie and a bunch of sandies and hybrids. About 18 hybrids hit the shad heads under the balloons, but we only got one blue.

    Sorry about the sideways picture. Apparently my techno-illiteracy is showing. I knew how to rotate with my ancient PC, but I couldn't figure it out on the laptop. I'll have to ask the granddaughter for help.
