    Default Muddy Grand Lake

Grand Lake water has been stained and muddy most of the last few months. Anyone have advice on fishing for crappie in these conditions?

Fish dark or super wild colors and fish slow. I've also seen some old men using some 1/64oz hair jigs and doing pretty good. Super tiny but I witnessed their effectiveness. You can find clearer water in some areas of the lake where you can use some more natural colors.

I've seen where a lot of people prefer those conditions, easier to get up on the fish without them getting spooked. Just use the dark color baits like callmecamo says and you should do fine. I know dark baits in in dark water doesn't seem to make sense but you have to remember that the bait fish are trying to "camo" themselves from being eaten, if you use a light or white color bait it would be unnatural to the fish and spook them away.

Funny, I couldn't buy a bite on black/chart which is normally my go-to color. Mine wanted it moving too, lol. You never know what's gonna work.
