Default Lynn Lane reservoir in Tulsa

I've fished it with very little luck but heard it is chock full of crappie, sand bass, and catfish. Only structure is fresh water inlet and the control tower. Otherwise it's a big concrete bowl.

Has anyone in Oklahoma fished it and had any luck?

I've lived in BA most of my life and fished it a lot as a kid. Neither I nor anyone I knew back then ever had much luck there so I gave up on it and haven't tried it in recent years. I've heard stories from people that they heard about good fishing from other people, but no one I've run into has actually had any luck themselves. Makes me wonder if those rumors of good fishing are true.

I fished the lake a few times for catfish and caught a lot of real small channel cat. I also on several occasions saw huge schools of absolute monster size carp. I tried for several months to catch one of the carp but could never get a bite. I used worms, corn and several different dough balls, strawberry pop and Wheaties and finally gave up. There are also some real small sand bass that roam all over the lake. You can walk along the cement wall and toss a small jig and occasionally catch one.

When I was there I met a guy who was tearing up the crappie. He walked halfway around the thing and wouldn't tell me where he caught them. But he had a cooler full. So I know they are there. On Fishbrain I've seen pics of 50 lb cats and bucket loads of crappie but cant get anyone to talk about it!

What time of year was that, do you remember?
I'm trying to hunt them down with this crappie hunter rod
    No luck!
