I see what you meant, wrangler. Just let it bounce off. You're one of the most helpful guys I know. Your Youtube videos are an example of how you've taken a lot of time to show others how to put together quality fishing equipment. I look forward to your future videos.

I need some help. On Monday I'm going to be at Texoma all day. I haven't been there in 5 years, and it may be another 5 before I make it down there again. Never tried for crappie. I'm taking my kayak, and therefore need to stay in the creeks/coves and away from the big water. Any help would be appreciated, even by PM if you don't want to publicize your thoughts. I just wonder, if you only had one creek at Texoma to crappie fish, which would you roll the dice on? For what it's worth, I'll be staying the night Sunday night just North of the islands, so between Buncombe and Sandy/Caney creeks.

Daniel, It's great to see you on CDC again! Wish I could help. The best I can tell you is that years ago while tournament fishing for Bass I used to pick up some really nice Crappie in the area you are talking about. Two places I recall were just east of Buncombe Creek. I believe one was called Limestone but don't recall the name of the other one but there was a boat ramp there and it was some persons name in a cove. I also did good in Soldier Creek just east of Caney. Someone PM Daniel with some areas he could throw his kayak into. Great guy! Let's hear more from you on the forum.

Don't fish on that end of the lake anymore but cardinal cove ought to be good place to start and the very back of buncombe. Have been catching them in 2 ft of water up north for the last week if cold front don't mess things up ought to be good next week

I agree with the others. I would fish soldier creek or catfish bay. A lot more docks to fish. I usually launch out of caney creek bc that’s where i stay, but some of the bigger creeks as listed above have more stuff to fish since u are limited to a kayak.

Thinking of making a trip down to Texoma. I have never fished it. I would want to catch some crappie, sand bass, and striper. Where would be a good place to stay for basic room that is clean and close to good fishing? If you have a honey hole you are willing to share I would take the information!

Dusty do you have any idea what part of the lake you’ll be staying on?

I haven't posted in a long time but assuming I can manage to stay out from under the bus I will try again.

This is a CDC member that made a 3 hour drive to go fishing with me. Some of you will recognize him but I will leave it up to him to identify himself if he wishes too.
