My apologies, hadn't checked the board in a while.
Put in at Cherokee landing and stayed on that end of the lake, which was very new to me. Saw lots of fish in brush piles but had trouble getting them to bite. I found it best to stay off the piles and cast to them and slowly bring my jig back thru. Didn't catch a fish after about 10:30. Only used jigs.
The water seems really clear right now. May need to go to lighter line.

Went and got dinner again. Fished Friday afternoon, it was HOT, and the fish were not very cooperative.
Fished Saturday morning and the fish were more into it, very odd caught lots of fish early, went above 82 bridge, never caught a fish. Went back down lake and started catching again. I have no idea why, there was more clutter in the water up above.
Roly Poly and Love Bug 2 hot colors for the weekend. 1/16 oz weedless jig heads.
Brought home some for blackened crappie.

Went and played with the fish, man what a glorious morning!!
62 degrees when I hit the water, wasn’t above 73 when I quit.
That just doesn’t happen in August in Oklahoma, at least not very often.
Fished from 82 bridge to battleship.
Brush piles were best, but fish were on everything I looked at.
Brought fish home for a 92 year old friend.

I looked up Tenkiller as a vacation destination in our future. I was looking to see if there was an actual battleship memorial. Looks like a great place to fish!
