In anticipation of the heavy rains they've pulled the lake down hard and fast, not been able to stick no more than two or three keepers each day over the past three days. Seems most of the Crappie have pulled back off of the bank in the Sequoya area, this being a flood control lake is always a tough time to fish in the spring, either fighting high water or low water conditions three feet is like 10 feet on the banks water difference.

Caught a few nice crappie this evening shooting docks while a tornado was making it's way just a few miles to the north-west of us. Was fishing 1/8th oz Mo Glow chart jig heads with Bobby Garland Baby Shad Patriot color in 3 to 4 feet of water along the sides of the boat slips.

Had just enough time on Friday to wet a hook, caught fish on first cast, well really was not a cast since I was just dropping the jig down to some brush that I put in a couple of years ago. Did not catch a lot but that was do to the short time about 30 minutes maybe to fish, did catch a variety of species including bass, sunfish, red ears and crappie. I posted on the main feed one of the crappie's I caught it had some kind of fungus on it.
All fish were caught in 10 to 12 fow using the "Monkey Milk" it'sy Bitty Swimmer this video is really good info regarding using that bait and he talks a lot about fishing here on Fort Gibson.
