Im used to the dingy, muddy, stained water of East Texas but I will be staying at Broken Bow lake for a few days in early July. I plan to take a few kids and dads crappie fishing but if the water is clear Im literally in unfamiliar waters. Any advice for this? Setup, jigs, weights or if I just need to switch species to fish for. Anything helps. Thanks guys.

Brush piles, Brush piles, Brush piles. There is a great "Outdoor Oklahoma" episode featuring Machine that you can find on youtube called "Broken Bow summer time Crappie."

You find the right piles and you can rack them and stack them.
Enjoy Broken Bow. It's the best lake in the state.
Ive watched that one already! Didnt know that was Machine though lol. I hadbplanned tontry what they were and see what happened. Thanks buddy

That was a great episode. Machine was really helpful.
Y'all will have a great trip. You may want to hire a guide if it's your first trip there. Look up "Rudy's Guide Service." You should be able to catch Kentuckies until you're tired of catching them. Don't be afraid to fish submerged standing timber deeper than you ever thought possible. It's a beautiful lake, but it fishes totally different than a shallow murky lake. Hope y'all have a great trip.

Would do a guide but there is a total of around 40 people going including kids lol. I figure atleast 12 adults are fishing so that would be a bit pricey for us. I underestimated how deep the lake is until i talked with Machine. Scary deep.
