Thread: Need Help: Lake Longmire Crappie

Hey guys, If you have ever fished R.C. Longmire, could you give me some pointers on where to go? I have fished down there one time and didn't catch anything. I am taking my boat out there so getting to locations will not be an issue. I have a friend that doesn't get to get out much these days and would like to get on some fish just to catch something.

I haven't been to Longmire in almost two years but the last time I went it was loaded with crappie that were small but healthy. If they survived they should be skillet sized by now. I have had better luck in the creek channel than on the trees. For a long time the city let the water level fluctuate too much and it was hard on the crappie population. I think they have been managing it a little better lately.
