As Dizzy Dean once said “It ain't braggin' if you can back it up.”
Not always, but quite often. Most people admire talent, but there are those who like to take potshots. Many of those in entertainment and sports intentionally try to stir up things. I don't know if there are any other geezers out there who remember Cassius Clay. He was a quiet young boxer, who met Gorgeous George soon after winning the Olympics. George told Cassius that he would undoubtedly become world champion, but if Cassius wanted to make lots more money and get more fame, he should develop an outrageous schtick, similar to George's crazy marcelled blond hair and braggadocio. Years laster, Muhammad Ali told Howard Cosell in an interview that he took George's advice. As to Josh, there is no doubt that he is a special talent and likes to help others learn how to improve their techniques. In my opinion, he is not a braggart, just a guy like the guy Dizzy Dean spoke about.

Faburwell and I spent yesterday fishing with Josh. We caught 2 limits of quality fish with the largest fish being released which was over 2 pounds. The fish were not active. He patiently taught us how to use live scope and saved us a year of frustration. The fish were not biting and we had to put the hair jig within inches of the fish's face which could not have been accomplished without live scope. We could see the fish rise up to hit the bait but yet we did not feel the thump. The fish, many times, just blew the bait back out. Color did not matter. Just seeing what the crappie were doing with the bait allowed us to catch many of them. Josh was patient with us and genuinely enjoyed teaching us to use the livescope. We could NOT have caught the fish we did WITHOUT livesope. We would scan the area and seek out the crappie then pick them off one by one. You could determine many times what the fish were that swam through just by the way they moved. Sand bass were evident as were the shad, crappie and catfish. Boy, did I want to throw a cast net and get a load of shad for bluecat fishing. There were a couple other boats in the area fishing and both had livescope and were catching quality fish. We had only 1 dink to throw back. The fish averaged between 1.25 - 1.5 pounds. The fish were full of shad. Towards dusk the crappie started moving, whereas during the day they were stationary, and we had to chase them to catch them. This 1 day fishing with Josh, Frank and I changed the way we think of fishing because of livescope. Josh talks the talk AND walks the walk. It was a fun day

A day spent with Josh and learning how to effectively use the Livescope is well worth the investment.
