Well......I used the mayfly most of the time, while switching out the other jig on my two-jig rig. The mayfly did zilch, but chartreuse/pink and black/chartreuse did pretty well. Got about 15 fish and brought home 5 up to 12 1/4 inches. Eggs really well developed, but no fish near the banks.

This site will help on water temp anytime of day. Temp of water and temp of soil under 4" under sod are very close.

Looks like Gibson will be on its way up again.....how long will it be there??? That is the question? Glad I am going to TX next weekend to fish with my brother and his friends on Pat Mayes.

I lived on that lake for 28 years. I bet 50% of the years the spawn would be messed up. Water high, water falling etc.
i loved fishing that lake, but finally gave in and moved north..

Finally got Crappie on the menu for later this week. To windy to take the boat out so spent a little time on the dock today. Caught a bunch of shorts but managed to pull out five that went up to 13 inches. Itty Bitty BG, with Fle-Fly bubble gum flavor in 15 fow about 2 feet off the bottom, cloudy with air temps at 45 degrees.

Lonnie, did my eyes deceive me, or is that jig rigged belly-up? Good pics.
