Does anyone have any recommendations for a fish finder? I’m looking to mainly do some crappie fishing. My budget is $1000 or less.

Took a guided trip with Doug Owens "Odie" today. Learned a lot but tough day fishing. He is a very educated fisherman and a very nice guy. If you want to book a guide on oolagah I would definitely suggest him!

Timber and I followed Fishers advice. We found open water crappie feeding on shad. Timber tied his own jigs this week. His mother came back and picked out the classiest colors she could find. He tied them up, and we took them to the water. I fished with some of Big sky we traded for in our swap last week. We quit fishing for crappie at 11, and then went cat hunt. Timber also caught his biggest fish to date at 35lbs.Name: IMG_7930.jpg

Lookin' good, TC. I hit CB this afternoon, and used your gray/black and white feather tail jig and the black/chartreuse. I expected the black/chartreuse to get them best, but the gray one killed 'em (until I fed it to the brush). My hard green chenille/grizzly hackle tail worked well too. I'm looking forward to using some of your other jigs next week. Glad that you and Timber had a great day.

Kept 57 today. I want to thank Odie. His guide trip helped me catch over 130 fish today. Fish were suspend in 12 to 15 feet in 30 feet of water. Once again thank you Odie for teaching me to read my lowrance! If you want a good guide to take you fishing call Doug Owens "Odie"
