Does anyone notice if the crappie are starting to move shallow or are they still Holding off the shore. We are still not catching them shallow from the bank here at Arcadia and thunderbird.

On the main parts of the lakes they are still in that pre-spawn stage suspended in about 6-12 FOW. Back in the small coves and creeks they are some males coming in to the banks for the spawn with a few younger females coming in as well. Now all lakes will be different. Take a deep lake where the water temp isn't quite there yet it will another couple of weeks at these day and night time temps before they come in. Take some smaller shallower lakes and they should be scattered, but on the the banks. Your southern lakes like Broken Bow, Pine Creek, Hugo they are there now. getting really good feedback from those lakes.

They are on the bank in the feeder creeks at Kaw. Males are all dark black even in the main lake and holding from 5 to 8 ft.

I don't know about the lakes and rivers but they are definitely spawning in Blade's Papa's pond. He flat tore them up this evening with a float and black and pink baby bobby garland.Name: pond crappie.jpg

What part of the state are you fishing in because Oologah hasn't really turned on yet? Some males close to the bank but it's spotty.

Caught 10 keepers off the bank of Hudson sunday, all males turning dark. Caught 4 keepers this morning before the wind started treating my itty bitty slab slayer like a kite. Had one small 7-8in male was more black than anything I've seen before. Should of took a pic of him.
