Default All but given up on crappie from the bank in OK

I've fished a river, 2 lakes, many ponds, and have a grand total of 3 crappie caught in one years time. I've fished hard and used everything I've learned on here and just cant locate them. So I've went back to bass and occasionally catfish angling. I know how and where to catch bass, but I've just about thrown in the towel on trying to target crappie from the bank.

    Persistence pays off.
Once the water cools down try it again.

Bass and crappie feed on a lot of the same stuff and they will hang out in a lot of the same areas ! Stay after them and when you think you are fishing too slow !! Slow down cooler weather will get them moving up feeding for the winter

I always bring my crappie rod when I fish and throw a jig out, usually on a bobber to control the depth and cast farther. I always throw in each area that I'm bass fishing and at most get a bluegill. Although the other day I caught a bass on a crappie jig! But yet no crappie.

In the spring crappie spanning time of year I see bank fisherman and women catching crappie at Oologah Lake Blue Creek, Spencer Creek and Talala Creek in areas around boat ramps. Also on bluff south west of Spencer ramp. Sometime can catch crappie at Claremore Lake dock and Lake Hudson Marina.

Tuesday I was bank fishing for bluegills in rip rap. My 1st 3 fish were 2 crappie and a drum. And then caught lotsa dinky bluegills. Finally found keeper bluegills 30 ft out near a boat ramp ledge.

I would love to find a mess of keeper size bluegill. Cant find crappie except by accident in a public park pond and a gold course pond.
