2010 Spring Camp Meals UPDATED 3.20.2020
The following list is for two meals for the Spring Crappie Camp at Eufaula. We are planning on 9-10 folks attending the Camp. Bring another side dish if you want to share with the folks. Each Camper is responsible for their other meals. Please respond on what you can bring and/or tasks you can do. Looking forward to seeing everyone. We have plates, paper towels, utensils, etc. from our other Crappie Camps.

Pulled Pork - Jason

Potato Salad - Floyd

Mac & Cheese - Lee

Buns(2 packages) - Jim (6lbtest)

BBQ Sauce (Heads) - Dave

Chips(2 large bags) - Redge

Water (1 case) – Redge

Cole Slaw – (Merle is sending slaw dressing mix, we need someone to mix it with slaw mix that I’m bringing) - ??

Ice Cream (1 - Braum’s Vanilla ) - ?

TASKS
1. Fish Fryers – Dave (1 double). Floyd (1 single)
2. Clean Crappie: Redge and ????
3. Prepare & Cook Crappie (2-3 Chefs)
4. Cook Hush Puppies & French Fries - Floyd
5. Set Up Crew (2) - ?
6. Clean-Up Crew (Bags provided) - ?

UPDATE 3.20.2020
The Corps has closed all or most of their Campgrounds. Luckily, we scheduled our Spring Camp at Arrowhead State Park (not a Corps campground). Today, I talked to Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation folks and the Arrowhead Campgrounds and restrooms/showers are open and they don't anticipate closing them in the near future. However, as we know, conditions can change. Lee is going to contact them again on Tuesday the 24th, to verify that they are open. We will keep you informed on this Subforum.......dave

Re: Pandemic Concerns and Eufaula Crappie Camp March 23-29,2020

I’ve been struggling over the past weeks about continuing to plan for our Crappie Camp during the Coronavirus that is rapidly spreading across the States. I kept thinking we would be okay while we were fishing on the lake, however, we could be potentially exposed while sharing tents or travel trailers. Also, the two planned group meals would be a huge opportunity to inadvertently catch or spread the virus.
At my age, diabetic condition and recent surgery, I am very concerned about the effects the virus would have if I contracted it. For these reasons, I’m not going to attend the Camp. I may still go fishing on the Lake but not as a group.

What are your thoughts? Do we want reschedule the Camp?
Ps. We will probably lose the fee for the reserved camp sites. I’ll check with the Camp Office.

lake is up 12 feet. Roy and I (jim/6lbtest) say reschedule.
