Default Any interest in a PRIMITIVE crappie camp?

How many of you have ever camped primitive? I suspect Redge has as he spent some time in the mountains. Some of my most memorable camps were spent in Colorado during Elk season in the cold. So, I'm thinking about doing a primitive camp at my favorite spot on lake Eufaula. Hickory Point rec area. Hickory Point has some old camping areas abandoned by the COE. I've seen people camping there when fishing. I think I will make a trip there this winter to survey for a decent spot to park my boat and tent. Probably camp there sometime between early Feb and late Mar, depending on the weather and lake conditions. Anyone with guts enough is welcome to join me. Details will be finalized later. If you have never fished that part of Gaines and Buffalo creeks you would be in for a treat. Just leave your Twinkies behind (cause Bigfoot loves 'em) and bring your .45s for any violin music. (It's a short drive to Roseane's in Krebs for good italian food one evening.)

It's really not hard. Just gotta be self sustained. Bring your own water and lighting. GI baths. A key is - don't do it in hot weather! My TM batteries usually are good for 2-3 days but I have a small portable generator for charging them if needed.

After further review "I'M IN". Can I tag along in one of your guy's boat? I don't have a generator to charge my batteries.
Just let me know the dates, where, and what I need to do.

We will work out all the details over the winter months. Bring your boat. That little generator can probably do em all.

McAlester does and not that far away. I’ve stayed there several times when going down to Gaines. No complaints.
