I mentioned that Gene Gilliland had said on Outdoor Oklahoma that it was legal as long as the game fish were caught legally. She said the law was changed last November. That wipes out one of my favorite baits.

Big Sky - I looked all through the online 2016-2017 Fishing Guide and couldn't find anything that said legally caught game fish could not be used for bait. Maybe it will be in the next edition. I would think they would have a hard time enforcing it if it hasn't been published yet.

Kansas Guber / Geezer Club meeting. Notice how some of the Geezers show up in all the Oklahoma and Kansas pics. They refer to them as border jumping Geezers Name: Chatt.jpg

I normally stay in the RV at 10killer during the months of July and August but I may have found a way to tent camp in Oklahoma during those months. I'll test it at the Geezer Camp at Pine Creek the last week in June and report how it works. May just be a gizmo but it was cheap. More to follow later.

I only heard her say they weren't legal anymore, as I went out the door to fish outside. When I came back in, the guys said she told them they could only be used at private ponds. Might be a good idea to call the State office of F&W.

    Geezer Requirements:
    1. Primary Fishing Days: Tuesday - Thursday,
    2. Preferred Lake: Where the Crappie are biting most recently,
    3. Campgrounds: Water, electricity and toilets available,
    4. Organized activities: None
    5. Other Rules: There are no other Rules,
    6. Other requirements: None.

    Comments:
    1. Potential lakes: Broken Bow, Sardis, Wister, Kerr, Bell Cow ……Suggestions?
    2. Dates will be identified prior to knowing which lake the Geezers will camp on.
    3. Each lake will be monitored as much as possible during the year and the exact lake will be selected within the week the Geezer Camp is scheduled. A backup lake will also be selected. The backup lake will only be selected in case of potential adverse weather conditions or rapid lake level changes.
    4. We need help in identifying five or six lakes to keep up with.

MINI GEEZER CAMP - first week in May (see rules above)

There is no backup lake. BigFin, Hat & I will be at Pine Creek that week. Hat has church stuff on Friday, the 4th, so he will pull out early. I'll be there all week, not sure when BigFin will leave. No need for reservations. Plenty of camping spots. Probably will have a fish fry before Hat leaves. No other planned meals but a couple of grills will be available and a fish pot will be on the stove. Everyone is welcome - come if you want, don't if you don't. If you want to wait till the last minute I'll be there with my wife the week before and will try to post a couple of status reports on the fish and lake, itself.
