I'm originally from Heavener, Rod. Left there in 1960. I don't think we are related, but could be.

Just returned from a day of visiting with my wife's family down near Sardis Lake. It was an older cousins 92d birthday party. His son, a former pro bass fisherman, put on an outstanding fish fry. Made my day! We really need to have a fish fry at our camp. Maybe with a group effort we can make it happen. I'm sure we have enough fryers so all we would need is oil, fish prep stuff, sides and FISH! We should be able to handle that - the tournament guys did very well at their Skiatook tourney. Marty used a french fry cutter that he had mounted to a welded plate that fit in his truck's receiver hitch. Wish I had thought to take a photo of it and see if someone could make me up one. Worked great and real taters beat frozen by about a thousand per cent.

Really looking forward to a camp at a new lake. The fish are spawning in Baja Oklahoma and should be soon here! Let's get some more attendees and go catch some Crappie!

Floyd, who is Marty! I would like to see a photo of his "french fry cutter". sounds great. As far as the Fish Fry, I have a 2 burner cooker, 4 gals of oil. Just need someone to take charge and get folks organized.....VOLUNTEERS?
