Sarge had three spots that need to be repaired, so the burn didn't cause much damage.
Sarge Creek and Washunga camp grounds will be open March 16.

It's official ! The Sarge Creek Campgrounds on Kaw Lake has been selected for the 2016 Oklahoma Spring Crappie Camp on April 22 -24th. We have reserved five RV sites, #47 - #51 with electricity and water and can accommodate several tent campers. Please respond if you need a tent space. RV sites # 37, # 39, #40 and # 43 are still available at a cost of $18 each night if you want a separate site. You can make a reservation through Recreation.gov. The closest motels are located in Ponca City about 10 miles away. Live bait is available at JoBi's One Stop in Kaw City.

Good deal. If any are staying in Ponca, minnows can be bought in two other locations toward the dam is anyone is going to be fishing that end of the lake.

If you want your own site you must reserve it through Recreation.gov - if you just need a site to pitch a tent on send Dave (davebrown42 a PM) I have one of the sites but already have two tents on it. I don't know who has the others. You can get 2-3 tents on a site (I believe) but there is really only room for two vehicles/boats on each one. Dave listed the sites we have and the ones still available.

I have all the equipment to put on a fish fry. I cooked crappie/blue cat for a group of 35 in about 30 minutes Saturday night. Its a really big cooker.
I have fish in the freezer if the bite is not good. My pleasure to do it for you folks.
