    Thank you!!

Any good spots to try and find some? I don't get out much anymore so trying to make the most of my time on the water.

Haven't tried those this year but fished a lot of them last year. Some of my best spots are a few years old now. Try dropping a marker and checking all around it for 20 yards or so. Sometimes the person pushing the button is in the other end of the boat and the driver is already backing away.

    Thanks Kenny!!

I must be looking in the wrong place. I've read it's a mistake to think all the best piles are huge and are easily seen on the Finder's screen. This is a real education for me.

I use a Hummingbird 798CI SI with their Lakemaster chip.

If any of you get a chance please post some pics of the brush piles you fish. I'd like a better idea about what I am looking for.

    I put in at Spencer.

The cedar, Christmas trees, buck brush, and willows that I've sunk don't hold their shape as long as oak, sycamore, and persimmon. Willows work fast, but I've had problems with beavers dragging them off. There were some monster cedar piles at Kaw, and after a year or two, they are squashed down to nothing. I occasionally have big productive brush piles that I've sunk totally disappear. Not for sure it's current, shad nets, or me doing a crappy job of tying the rock on.

Is it legal to put out brush piles in Oologah Lake?

You can help the the local corps office on the 2nd Saturday of September. I think it is at the dam this year, 9am, call their office for details.

The fish are holding tight to wood. I took the Timber and his buddy. I usually bring minnows for fast summer time action and the kids. Talala and Wiganon was sold out. So back to old school. Jig color did not matter. Will load some pictures soon of the structure.
