Seems to me that fish are pretty evenly distributed. I tend to fish south of Goose in the summer because of proximity so I get to know that area better and am more successful than when I venture further north. Winter and spring I mostly fish from Winganon to Spencer mostly to stay out of the wind a little better. I imagine that if I spent a year north of Winganon I would catch as many there as further south and probably better quality but it's hard to hide from the wind up that way. With crappie migration patterns we may be catching the same individual fish all over the lake. In short- I think that I at least catch a lot more fish in the areas where I have paid the price to become familiar with what works and where.

There tons of great piles in the Blue Creek area, especially on the south side where it narrows and then doglegs to the south. There are great piles in the first two coves along the west side from Hawthorn and to the north. Will Rogers hasn't been as productive lately, but has been amazing over the past several years. The white pipes coming into the lake near the dam has been a great spot for numbers (I've never caught anything very big there yet). The nice thing is, there are almost limitless good places to fish on Oologah. Fun to live so close to such a great crappie lake.

    It sure is!!

I'm also going to try the North side of Goose Island. Been interested in checking out the structure along there, i.e. drop offs, sunken trees, stumps, deep holes, etc. Be aware there are lot's of stumps there especially when you are out of the old river channel so exercise extreme caution.

Caught 168 yesterday in 7 hours of fishing with my son Zane. I would guess that 100 of em were 9" fish so this lake should have some good years coming up. Water temp was 82 and they were thumping those minners finally. I think it's time to dust off my jigs- and I am ready!

Yep, we're going to save some money if we don't have to buy minnows!

love it! Thanks guys, I definitely need to check out some other areas. On the 9" fish comment you know 3 years ago size wasn't an issue during the spring. I have noticed that the amount of 5-9" fish has become more common for myself. Just fishing in general I haven't got into the sandbass like we used to. Back to crappie glad to hear the jig bite might be coming back. If any of you see an old 1977 light blue/white ranger or blue camo kayak thats me I still enjoy the kayak for the ultimate in stealth. Might try and get out and see what I can find this weekend.

I'm having trouble finding any fish over 10" Crappie, Sand bass, Black bass or catfish. Lots of small ones in Ft Gibson and Oologah.

Right now no matter where I go it's a 9:1 dink to keeper ratio. Sounds like we need to learn Eufaula Minnowtime.

Fished a new spot Friday evening and caught 5. 11", 12 1/4", 2-13 1/2" and one 15 1/2". Not one dink. Went back to same spot at crack of dawn yesterday and didn't get any bites other than catfish hits. All other spots produced dinks.

Thought I taught you better than that ciller. Keystone, keystone, keystone. This time last year was catching limits after limits with 1.5 pound fish mixed in. If I had a boat I'm sure I still would be
