    Default Report for 1-25-2009

We fished sunday from 1:00-5:00 and caught 64 keepers and I lost a monster! It was a 2lb fish the best I could tell I had to fix my hook after he came off. Water temp. 42 degrees caught fish spider-rigging minnows 8-10ft in 12ft-20ft of water. The avg. fish was just over 1lb. It was pretty chilly when it was cloudy. The fish really turned on in evening!! All and all it was a good day!! Good fishing EB

Good to meet you EB. The Gains comes thru again!!! When coming out Saturday evening, saw some fishers setting up for some nite-fishing. With those temps they had to be catching them. Talked to Larry Russell and he said he had heard the same thing. I'm not fond of nite-stalking in the summertime. Can't even think about doing it in the winter. Nice fish, and thick!!! <*)}}}><

You bet buddy anytime you guys want to come down just give me a ring!!! It seems like yeaterday that L.A. said "I will show you how to coach if you show me how to catch those slabs all year long" That has almost been 6 years ago. Man how time flys. You guys were my first trip this winter and it has been better everytime I go down there. Good luck and good fishing!! EB

I'm going to Arcadia tomorrow if temp is above 32. We are catching them @12-14 ft. on Bobby Garlands--Bluegrass w/ small jighead. I owe it to you for getting me addicted to crappie fishing! I'm pumped up and ready to go fishing every time the sun comes up! became VERY popular w/ my friends. I have to admit you SCHOOL LA in fishing! LOL! He will deny it but you know your stuff. I'm not sure he is coaching F/B next year. He is making $$$ with 7 Plus.

Have you made it back out since the weather was bad? Went to Arcadia Weds/Thurs and did okay. Nothing huge. The "regulars" filled me in on the importance of tying knots and presentation. We had enough fillets for supper tonight. The bite was slow but caught some nice keepers. are the sand bass/crappie/walleye behind the dam hitting? Hope to push LA back your way in the near future. Trying to send you some business. Is it $150 per person? I just want to make sure on my facts. thanks again!

    Default 1-30-2009 and 1-31-2009

Hello, I fished the last two days. The water temp. was 35-42 degrees. Friday we caught 40 in 1hr 45 min. ended up with 57 keepers. The biggest was 1.14oz. Then fished today the bite was little slower and finicky!! We eneded up keeping 50. The biggest was 1.13oz. We had several fish the last two days over and under 1.8oz. We spider-rigged 3-4 inch bass minnows in 14-23ft of water fishing 10ft deep. " Don't be afraid to go to your favorite creek in the middle of the winter, those fish are there" Good fishing EB
