Have the walleye made their run up to the narrows? I've caught the white bass the last two years but never get down there in time for the walleye. Biggest white bass I've ever seen!

    Default Broken bow fishing report

Finally got the chance to get out and do a little crappie fishing. Fished the upper end of broken bow last weekend. Caught a nice mess of fish, didn't count how many we caught. Water was 57-60 most places we went. Fish were NOT where my dad and I expected them to be. The lake had come up several feet in the last week and I think it had the fish confused. Most of the fish we caught were in 6-12 feet of water. Didn't catch but a couple on the banks. The females we fileted looked ready to spawn now, just think the rising water had them messed up. My dad is going back this weekend, I've got a bass tourney Saturday or i'd be going back also. I'll post results after he gets back. Good fishing everyone.

My dad went down and said it was worse than the weekend prior when he and I went. Lake came up at least another foot and got a little dirtier. The water temp is great 61-62. Fish just seem to be confused by the rising water level. Dad thinks they are still a week away from it getting good provided the water doesn't get any higher. We are fishing the far upper end of the lake, holly creek and up.

Went to the Bow and fished Thursday-Saturday. Here's my report first day was pretty much non productive had 3 fish. Second day was a little better ended with 7 fish. Now the 3rd day was the best had 9 fish LOL. On the second day we them on the bank in one area in 4-6 fow about 3' deep on cork and jig. The 3rd we caught them out over old cedars casting and dragging. Had planned on staying till Monday, but we had a little mishap on the boat prop. Was heading in on the 3rd day running her wide open and this happened.Name: IMG_20150404_191031997.jpg

Size: 29.1 KB It's really hard to say what the weeks to come will be like on the Bow with the lake being up already. Any heavy rain down that way will simply shut everything completely off.
