Anybody else been out there lately? I'm gonna try to get out there before the spawn crowd shows up and there's boats everywhere

Went out last Saturday and there were 13 boats all within 100 yards. When I pulled up at 9 that morning I thought they must be biting but that was far from the truth. You can catch over 100 per man per trip if your at the right depth but they are from 3- 6inches long. Tried to weed thru the little ones and never did. Found some 3-5 fish schools and that's where the slabs were. Had to hold the jigs super still. If you worked it, no bites. Don't know what is going on since the 1.25" of rain came.

AJ, I've fished Kerr the last two days. Fish were in 8-10 FW. I caught them suspended from 7-8". Most fish were in Brush piles in the mouth of coves. Females were full of eggs. I really don't know when it will be time but I know of a couple of people who caught some on the bank last week. They are backed off right now though. Water was anywhere from 61-67 today. Which only shows that I don't know a thing about the correlation between water temperature and the crappie spawn. If I found brush close to the bank in that 8-10 FW I caught fish. I was double dipping black and pink/black and chartreuse beaver bottom tails. Timmy Tom weedless jig heads. Tried fishing up Sand Bois with no luck.

Fished Kerr Friday. Caught a mix of blacks and whites. Some deep at 12 on the breaks, but most with a cork 1.5 feet deep on the bank. Only 4 hours fishing. Started the day at the nav, it was abysmal. Not even a bite. I blew that taco stand and was at Kerr at 12. Fished a few hours then it rained for a few hours, I sat it out and fished a few more hours till dark. Name: 20170324_123352.jpg
