Wister was about 5 feet above normal. Water was a little murky on the West side of the lake. Clearer on the east.. Fishing for me at least was slow today. Caught a lot of small crappie. Wister owns me this year. It was great the past two years. It seems to be good just about every day I'm not there this year apparently. 😔 Good news is I left a bunch of fish out there for you guys!

I was on the water again last weekend and again pretty much struck out. Other than the marked fishing spots I only have found one good sized brush pile up there and that was the only spot to produce any crappie for me. I spent a lot of time just driving around the main lake. Especially the main channel and graphing stuff. I see the stumps down there and thought this to be my best bet for fish. That water is so warm so thought they would be a bit deeper than the shallow areas I know but I never found any fish. Just kind of thought I would see schools out there hanging off that but did not. Any of you pros on this lake have some advice for summertime crappie here? Am I looking at the right type of place, the main channel stump line, or do they concentrate on something else I need to find?

    Thanks

Wow. I never would have tried looking there with those water temps.

Grr. Just trying to make me spend even more money. First it's 3 fancy graphs, then an xi5 trolling motor and now I have to buy a spider rig setup.
    Thanks

Just wanted to give heads up on cheap rates at Wister lake Cabins with this Groupon. $35.00 bucks isn't bad per night and may combine up to 2 nights.

Awesome link. Thanks. Fished there yesterday. The Shad flipping everywhere was crazy, I’ve never see anything like it. The fishing......I don’t wanna talk about it
