    Default Mad river for crappie?

Been awhile since I've came to the forum. I've been crappie fishing the whole time though lol. I was curious if anyone has fished Mad River for crappie and if so how was it? I've only fished for crappie in lakes and ponds but never a river. I imagine there in there.....does anyone know a few spots? The most important question however is, is the crappie that come out of Mad River safe to eat? I have no clue how clean or unclean that water way is.

Crappie from CJ Brown are flushed down Buck Creek through Springfield and into the Mad River just South of Springfield! I have caught some very nice ones but numbers are limited to deep holes.
The only thing that I can say about water Quality is when people kayak after a storm or a heavy release of water from CJ, they get sick if they ingest water. CJ Brown now has troubles with Blue/Green Algae and Bacteria from Poo (ecoli)...so I won't eat anything from there anymore! Springfield also dumps wastewater, drainage, and overflow into the local waterways....
